Overview

Wavy Cables manufactures custom audio cables. Its online store lets customers design their own cable with a build-your-own configurator.

The platform is a near-total rewrite of an earlier 2024 build.

The challenge

Custom products are hard to sell online. A customer building a cable makes several choices that depend on each other, and the store has to make that easy to follow while still ending in a normal, secure checkout. Rewriting the existing store was the chance to rebuild that flow on a modern foundation.

What I built

  • The storefront.
  • A build-your-own-cable configurator that guides the customer through their options.
  • Checkout with Stripe.
  • reCAPTCHA protection on public forms and Google Maps integration.

Tech & architecture

  • Angular 21 with server-side rendering for fast, indexable product pages.
  • NgRx for application state.
  • Angular Material and Tailwind CSS.
  • Stripe, reCAPTCHA and Google Maps.

Outcome

The store was rebuilt almost from the ground up on Angular 21, with the configurator as a first-class part of the shopping flow. Customers can design a cable and check out in one place, and the server-rendered pages give the store a solid base for search visibility.
